About the Book : This book titled ‘Teacher Education Through Distance Learning’ is the outcome of doctoral research work. The book brings out the ideas, experiences and empirical evidences regarding the present status of teacher education programme of open university system. About the Author : Surendra Kumar (Born on January 2, 1978) has done his schooling from Ambedkar Nagar. He obtained his M.A. (Economics, Ancient History and Education) from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Faizabad (U.P.). He obtained his M.Ed. Degree from University of Allahabad, Allahabad. He completed his D.Phil. in Education from University of Allahabad, Allahabad. Surendra Kumar joined in teaching profession in the year 2005 as Assistant Professor in the Department of B.Ed., S.S. Khanna Girls' Degree College, Allahabad (Constituent College, University of Allahabad, Allahabad). Dr. Surendra Kumar, is Assistant Professor, School of Education, U.P. Rajarshi Tandon Open University, Prayagraj. Dr. S. Kumar has published around 26 research papers in reputed national and international journals and 04 chapters in books. His areas of interest are Distance Education and Teacher Education.
