The Fauna Miniature Box Set is our ‘utilitarian’ reinvention of the ‘Bhatukli’, a form of handcrafting miniature kitchen toys for children. The motifs on the lid of the boxes adds a charm and an Indianness with the motifs of the native species Tortoise, Pisces, Owl.
Use it for everyday storage or make it celebratory for gifting on special occasions.
This product is made by artisans of the Tambat Metalcraft, Pune, Maharashtra. The legacy of the Tambat Craftspeople who handcraft Coppre's products dates to the 17th century when they were invited to Pune by the Peshwas after Shivaji set up the city as the capital city of the Maratha Empire. 'Matharkaam' or beaten work is the distinguishing feature of Tambat craft.
