Shri Dnyaneshwar, a Jeevanmukta Siddha lived in Aalandi near Pune, Maharashtra in the 13th Century AD. He has been one of the supreme spiritual saints from the Adwaita school of thought, a founder of Varkari sampradaya (Bhakti cult), and a disciple of the “Nathsampradaya”. At an age of 21 years, he blissfully entered into a state of “Sanjeevan Samadhi” and his cosmic energy is found and experienced even today.

Before entering into the Sanjeevan Samadhi, His Guru, Shri Nivruttinaath had advised him to write down his own Ambrosial Spiritual Experiences and Self Realisation, which emerged as a poetic “Shrimad Amrutanubhav”…. One of the few supreme spiritual kinds of literature available so far and is considered the beacon of light for spiritual seekers. “Shrimad Amrutanubhav” elaborates all aspects of spirituality which is necessary for a sincere seeker to become “Jivanmukta”- the emancipated person!

He had elaborated on profound spiritual aspects like the concept of Shiva and Shakti with respect to cosmology, Importance of Guru, Advait of Guru and Shiva, Shankari Vidya, Importance and rebut of words, the difference between knowledge and ignorance, rebut of ignorance and knowledge. He explained the original Swarup of the universal Soul as Sat-Chit-Aanad, the state of an emancipated yogi, and advises spiritual seekers on how to become a liberated soul.

This book is the essence of the teachings of Shaivagam and Naath sampradaya. Through the Anubhavamrut - Shri Dnyaneshwar has written his Aprokshanbhooti - which is a tradition for a supreme Jeevanmukta yogi - a saint who has the poetic abilities to bring down the mystical aspects in words, like Shri Shankaracharya, Shri Lalleshwari.

The philosophy is inclined towards Vedanta, Sankhya, and Shankari Vidya. This is one of the pure and wonderful texts being studied in Bhagwat Dharma and Varkari Sampradaya. This Grantha has that capacity and ability that, whoever reads and adopts this philosophy completely can become a liberated soul.
