About Author :
J.N. Nanda besides being an Eminent Scientist with two earned doctorates in Physics and Applied Physics respectively has also been active in the social and cultural sphere. He was the first scientist in India to begin research work in oceanography and underwater sound. He prefers the advance of co-existence rather than aiming at unity in diversity. Understanding the complexity of human mind, he advocates a new Mahayana of co-existence and earnest efforts to square beliefs with advances in science and technology. He has numerous papers and books to his name. He has travelled extensively and led some government delegations abroad.
M.S Batra, M.A. (Economics), LL. B., retired as Deputy Director General, All India, Radio. He was earlier Head of the Lucknow and Delhi Stations of AIR. During his service, he was deputed on a Government of India Fellowship to Kabul University for advanced studies in the Pashto language. He evolved into a renowned Pashto scholar and an expert on Afghan affairs. He worked as Programme Adviser and Secretary to the Punjabi Academy of the Government of NCT, Delhi. He produced innumerable programmes and wrote commentaries on international affairs for broadcast on All India Radio. He is a keen student of Indias relations with other countries and the world scene, besides being Honorary Editor of a magazine relating to comparative religions
