Dr. Sandeep Kumar is Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT (BHU), Varanasi. He graduated from MNREC Allahabad and completed post-graduation from IT, BHU, Varanasi. After completing Ph.D. from IIT Delhi in the field of composite plates and shells, he has worked in various topics of computational mechanics, including meshless methods, chaos theory, and wavelets etc. Prior to IIT (BHU), he worked at REC Kurukshetra, BITS Pilani and AIMST, Malaysia. He has written a book, Mathematical Theory of Subdivisions - Finite Elements and Wavelet Methods, which is published by CRC press. He enjoys learning new mathematical concepts and imparting them to others.
