Dr. Ajaya kashyap

Like all surgeons, Dr. Ajaya Kashyap follows in the footsteps of Sushruta. Triple American Board certified in Plastic Surgery, Surgery and Anti- Aging Medicine, he practiced in the US for almost sixteen years until he moved back to India in 2005. He has been a senior consultant and the head of his department for the bulk of his career—including at Aesthetic Center of MetroWest, Fortis, Escorts, Apollo, Columbia Asia and Asian hospitals.Fascinated both with the practice and the history of his field, Dr. Kashyap has headed many research projects and written over thirty research papers and won several awards for research and teaching. He is working on academic and literary examinations of the epistemology of medical knowledge and surgical techniques.Dr. Kashyap has shared his experience and expertise with the world by appearing in significant media—including the Discovery Channel, Boston Globe, Harvard News, Ayer Times, Times of India, Hindustan Times, CNBC, CNN, CNN-IBN, and AajTak, amongst others. He was also the plastic surgeon for each episode of Sony TV’s Indian adaptation of “Extreme Makeover”—“Naya Roop Nayi Zindagi.”He has participated in several programs of social service—including programs of surgical reconstruction for victims of acid attacks and victims of bomb blasts in war-torn countries.
