About Author : Anees Chishti, free-lance journalist, has had a versatile experience in different areas of communications. After securing his Master's degree in Science from Aligarh University, he started writing on a variety of subjects. He worked as Assistant Editor, Mainstream and Assistant Editor, Seminar, after a stint as Feature Writer for an agency. He was the Theatre and Dance columnist of Shankar's Weekly and contributed a columnon the media to Point of View. His articles have appeared in a number of newspapers and periodicals. His recent analyses of Muslim political thought and activity in periodicals like Economic and Political Weekly and The Sunday Observer have attracted wide attention.
