W. K. Lele (Waman Keshav Lele) is a Sanskrit scholar who has worked extensively on the methodology of ancient Indian intellectual traditions. He is the author of The Doctrine of the Tantrayuktis (Chaukhamba Surabharati Studies, 1981), a study of the formal principles governing theoretico-scientific Sanskrit treatises. Methodology of Ancient Indian Sciences, also published by Chaukhamba Surbharati Prakashan, extends this inquiry into the scientific literature of the Sanskrit tradition.
