Vikram Rao

Vikram Rao studied engineering at IIT Madras and went on to earn a master's degree and doctorate from Stanford University, arriving there in 1965. He later served as senior vice president and chief technology officer of Halliburton before retiring in 2008. A Stranger in No Land: Tales of Assimilation draws on his own story to explore the experience of crossing cultures, arguing that differences are best understood, absorbed, and celebrated.
