Vaibhav Purandare

Vaibhav Purandare works as a senior editor at The Times of India and writes narrative history and biography. His book Savarkar: The True Story of the Father of Hindutva is based on Savarkar's original Marathi papers, court records, government documents, and contemporary accounts — many of them previously untranslated — and draws a portrait of a figure he describes as full of ideological contradictions. He is also the author of Bal Thackeray and the Rise of the Shiv Sena and Sachin Tendulkar: A Definitive Biography.
