V. E. Annamalai

V. E. Annamalai (1938–2012) was a notable Tamil scholar, literary critic, and academic who specialized in Sangam literature. He was known for his comprehensive works that explored the themes and cultural aspects of this ancient literary tradition. He compiles சங்க இலக்கியத் தொன்மக் களஞ்சியம் (Sangha Literary Archives), a two-volume collection of myths and traditions from Sangam literature in Tamil.
