U.V. Venkata Iragavasaryar translates Kalidasa's Sanskrit mahakavya Kumarasambhava into Tamil as குமாரஸம்பவ மஹாகாவ்யம் (Kumara Sambhavam), published by LIFCO Publishers. The original Sanskrit poem narrates the birth of Kumara (Karthikeya/Murugan), son of Shiva and Parvati, and is one of the canonical works of classical Sanskrit literature.
