Thrangu Rinpoche

Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche (1933–2023) was a senior teacher of the Karma Kagyu lineage, recognized at age four as the ninth Thrangu tulku and later appointed personal tutor to the Seventeenth Karmapa by the Dalai Lama. In this commentary he presents Shantideva's Bodhicharyavatara with both the root text and his own lucid explication of each verse, drawing on his mastery of Mahamudra and the Shentong philosophical tradition.
