Mahamahopadhyaya T. Ganapati Sastri (1860–1926) was a pioneering Sanskrit scholar and the curator of the Oriental Manuscripts Library in Trivandrum (now Thiruvananthapuram). He is most famous for his monumental discovery and publication of the thirteen lost plays of the ancient dramatist Bhasa, which transformed the understanding of early Sanskrit theatre. In 1905, he also discovered and published the complete manuscript of Kautilya's कौटिलीयम् अर्थशास्त्रम् (Kautiliyam Artha Shastram), a foundational text of political science and statecraft. His scholarly editions of works like Sangeet Samaya Sara have preserved and disseminated countless rare texts.
