Swami Shradhananda

Swami Shradhananda

Swami Shraddhanand (1856–1926), born Munshi Ram, was a prominent Indian independence activist, Arya Samaj sannyasi, and social reformer. He championed the teachings of Dayananda Saraswati and played a pivotal role in establishing educational institutions like Gurukul Kangri University. A key figure in the Sangathan (consolidation) and Shuddhi (re-conversion) movements of the 1920s, he advocated for Hindu unity and social reform. Swami Shraddhanand was assassinated in 1926 for his efforts in these movements. His book, হিন্দু সংগঠন: কেন এবং কেমন করে? (Hindu Organizations: Why and How?), published in Bengali, reflects his commitment to strengthening Hindu organizational structures and promoting community awareness.
