Swami Lokeswarananda

Swami Lokeswarananda (1909–1998) was a distinguished monk of the Ramakrishna Order, renowned as a scholar, philosopher, educationist, and spiritual leader. Born Kanailal Bandyopadhyay, he dedicated his life to Vedantic teachings and humanitarian service within the Ramakrishna Mission, holding key leadership roles such as headmaster of Ramakrishna Mission schools and Secretary of the Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture in Calcutta from 1973 until his death. He authored and translated numerous books on spiritual and philosophical subjects, including "The Way To God As Taught By Sri Ramakrishna." His works include biographical studies like "Ramakrishna Paramahansa (Makers of Indian Literature)" and "Sister Nivedita and Indian Renaissance," as well as a bibliography titled "Books on Vivekananda."
