Suad Amiry

Suad Amiry is a Palestinian architect who has lived in Ramallah since 1981. She studied architecture at the American University of Beirut, in Michigan, and in Edinburgh, and is the founder and director of Riwaq: Centre for Architectural Conservation. Her book Sharon and My Mother-in-Law, translated into seventeen languages, won the 2004 Viareggio Prize. In Menopausal Palestine: Woman at the Edge, she turns her lens on Palestinian women navigating daily life under difficult conditions.
