Srisa Chandra Vasu was a pioneering Sanskrit scholar who produced one of the earliest English translations of the Siddhanta Kaumudi, Bhattoji Diksita's seventeenth-century commentary on the sutras of Panini. First published between 1904 and 1907, the work — prepared with the assistance of Vamana Dasa Vasu — provides the original Sanskrit text alongside English translation and notes, making it accessible to students of Sanskrit grammar.
