Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura (born Kedarnath Datta, 1838–1914) was a preeminent Indian Hindu philosopher, guru, and spiritual reformer of Gaudiya Vaishnavism. He is widely credited with revitalizing the tradition in late 19th and early 20th century India and pioneering its propagation in the West. A prolific writer and scholar, he authored over a hundred books and many devotional songs, and also published the Vaishnava journal, 'Sajjana-toshani'. His work "Sri Caitanya Siksamrta (The Nectarean Teaching of Sri Caitanya)" encapsulates the essence of Lord Chaitanya's spiritual instructions.
