SRI CHANDRASEKHARENDRA SARASWATI

SRI CHANDRASEKHARENDRA SARASWATI

Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati (1894–1994) was the 68th Jagadguru Shankaracharya of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, serving from 1907 until his death and widely revered as one of the preeminent religious authorities of twentieth-century India. Aspects Of Our Religion, published by Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, is drawn from his Tamil discourses — translated, edited, and arranged topically — and presents the core precepts of Vedic dharma, beginning with the concept of religion itself and proceeding through the principles of the Vedas and the practice of Hindu religion.
