Sreemoyee Piu Kundu writes fiction and non-fiction that centres the inner lives of Indian women. She spent over a decade as a journalist and columnist on gender and sexuality for publications including the Times of India, India Today, and The Asian Age before turning to fiction. You've Got the Wrong Girl is her third novel, following Faraway Music and the widely discussed Sita's Curse. Her non-fiction work Status Single drew on interviews with three thousand urban single women. She is the recipient of the NDTV L'Oréal Women of Worth Award for Excellence in Literature and was named a United Nations Young Achiever for Literature.
