Shri Swami Chidanand

Shri Swami Chidanand (1916–2000), born Sridhar Rao, was a revered spiritual leader and the second president of the Divine Life Society, founded by Swami Sivananda Saraswati. He joined the Divine Life Society in 1943 and dedicated his life to spiritual practice and selfless service. Swami Chidanand was known for his profound wisdom, compassion, and tireless efforts in disseminating the teachings of Vedanta and Yoga. He authored numerous books on spiritual life and philosophy. His work Aadhyatmik Vishv-Guru Swami Shivananda (Hindi) serves as a spiritual biography of his guru, Swami Sivananda.
