Samantha Shannon writes dystopian and fantasy fiction set in richly imagined worlds built around clairvoyance, power, and rebellion. Her debut novel, The Bone Season, published in 2013, launched a seven-book series and was acquired by Bloomsbury in a major deal at the 2012 London Book Fair; the series has since been translated into multiple languages. Shannon studied English Language and Literature at St Anne's College, Oxford. Her standalone epic The Priory of the Orange Tree became an international bestseller.
