Sagarmal Jain

Prof. Sagarmal Jain served as Director of Parshwanath Vidyapeeth, Varanasi, where he made wide-ranging contributions to Jaina studies through authorship, translation, and research. Born in 1932, he received a Presidential Award in 2017 for his contributions to Prakrit language and literature. Jaina Literature and Philosophy: A Critical Approach compiles his major scholarly articles on Jaina textual and philosophical traditions.
