Sadiq-ur Rahaman Kidwai

Sadiq-ur-Rahman Kidwai is an academician, Urdu scholar, and former dean of the School of Languages at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He serves as secretary of the Ghalib Institute in Delhi and has authored and edited several works on Ghalib and Urdu literary history. The Government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri in 2010. His work Ghalib and His Times, published by the Ghalib Institute, situates the poet within the cultural and historical contexts of his age.
