Ram Anant Thatte

Ram Anant Thatte (27 January 1934 – September 2014) was an Indian artist and researcher who graduated with a Gold Medal from Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai in 1956. He worked for three years on the Ajanta Caves through the Archaeological Survey of India and later served as an artist at Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda. His book Ajanta documents his engagement with this body of ancient Buddhist cave art.
