Rajeswari Chatterjee

Rajeswari Chatterjee (1922-2010) was an Indian scientist and academic, notable as the first woman engineer from Karnataka. She taught at the Department of Electrical Communication Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, where she established and chaired the first ever laboratory for microwave engineering in India. Chatterjee authored several books, including 'Engineering Electromagnetics' and 'Elements of Electromagnetics.' Her work 'A Thousand Streams: A Personal History' offers insights into her life and pioneering career.
