R. N. Chopra

R. N. Chopra surveys the pharmacological properties of India's indigenous plant medicines in the Glossary of Indian Medicinal Plants, co-authored with S. L. Nayar and I. C. Chopra and published by CSIR, New Delhi in 1956. Sir Ram Nath Chopra (1882–1973) was a distinguished pharmacologist of the Indian Medical Service who established an experimental research laboratory at the Calcutta School of Tropical Medicine, served as its director from 1935 to 1941, and devoted his career to the scientific evaluation of indigenous and traditional drugs.
