R. Kothandaraman

R. Kothandaraman investigates the Tamil finite verbal system in its historical dimension, tracing the development of classical verbal constructions across the history of the language. He holds degrees in Tamil and linguistics including a PhD in Linguistics, has taught at Madurai Kamaraj University and held the directorship of the Pondicherry Institute of Linguistics and Culture, and serves as a Fellow at the Central Institute of Classical Tamil, Chennai.
