Pushpa Bharati

Pushpa Bharati (born 1935, Moradabad) is an Indian author who has written in Hindi across essays, profiles, and literary criticism, and has authored seventeen books. She received the Maharashtra State Hindi Sahitya Academy Award (2008) and the Vyas Samman (2023). Among her works for Amar Chitra Katha is the comic on the blind medieval poet-saint Soordas (Surdas), which recounts his life and devotional poetry. The Gujarati edition (સુરદાસ), published by Amar Chitra Katha, makes this illustrated life available to Gujarati readers.
