Pullel Sriramchandru D.

Pullela Sriramachandrudu (1927–2016) was a distinguished Sanskrit scholar, writer, and professor from Andhra Pradesh who served as the Head of the Department of Sanskrit at Osmania University. A prolific author and translator, he wrote over 200 books, including commentaries on classical texts and translations from other languages into Sanskrit. For his lifelong contributions to Sanskrit literature, he was honored with the Padma Shri in 2011. His work पारसी कलोकोक्तयः (Persian Proverbs) is a translation of Persian adages into Sanskrit.
