Puliyur Kesigan

Puliyur Kesigan is a renowned Tamil scholar and commentator celebrated for his extensive contributions to classical Tamil literature. He has provided insightful original texts and commentaries (மூலமும் உரையும் - Moolamum Uraiyum) for foundational works such as சிலப்பதிகாரம் (Silappathikaram) and மணிமேகலை (Manimegalai), two of the five great Tamil epics. His scholarship also extends to editing புறநானூறு (Purananuru), a significant volume of Sangam literature, and the ancient Tamil grammar text தொல்காப்பியம் (Tolkappiyam).
