Prof. K.S. Narayanacharya (1933–2021) was a Kannada, English, and Sanskrit scholar based in Bengaluru, widely known for his discourses on the Valmiki Ramayana and referred to as Ramayanacharyaru. He served on the faculty of Karnatak University, Dharwad, and authored over 70 works in Kannada and English covering the Ramayana, Mahabharatha, Bhagavata, Vedanta, and Haridasa literature. He received the Karnataka Sahitya Academy Award in 1973 and the Kannada Rajyotsava Award in 2008.
