Prabhaker Acharya

Prabhaker Acharya writes on Indian literary criticism, bringing together essays on major Indian poets including Nissim Ezekiel and Arun Kolatkar, the art of fiction, and the nature of creativity. He draws on the classical Sanskrit theory of dhvani — the resonance or suggestion beneath poetic language — alongside Western critical concepts in Dhvani and Epiphany: Essays in Criticism, published by Manipal Universal Press. He retired as Head of the Department of English at K.C. College, Mumbai.
