Panchanan Bhattacharya

Panchanan Bhattacharya (1853–1919) was the principal disciple of Yogiraj Lahiri Mahasaya and the first authorized to initiate others into Kriya Yoga. He founded the Aryya Mission Institution in Kolkata for the propagation of Kriya Yoga teachings. His Bengali work ধৰ্ম ও পূজাদি মীমাংসা (Dharma O Pujadi Mimamsa), published by Prachi Publications, examines the principles of dharma, modes of worship, and their deeper meanings in the light of yogic and Vedic thought.
