Padmashri Muni Jinavijaya

Padmashri Muni Jinavijaya (1888–1976) was a distinguished Jain monk and Indologist, recognized for his profound scholarship and tireless efforts in preserving ancient Indian manuscripts. He was a pivotal figure in the field of Prakrit and Sanskrit studies, dedicating his life to editing and cataloguing rare texts. Muni Jinavijaya received the prestigious Padma Shri award from the Government of India in 1961 for his invaluable contributions to literature and education. His works include significant contributions to the A Catalogue Of Sanskrit And Prakrit Manuscripts In The Rajasthan Oriental Research Institute (Jodhpur Collection).
