P.V. Tewari

P.V. Tewari, often referred to as Dr. Premwati Tewari, is a distinguished Ayurvedic scholar. She served as the former Head and Professor of the Department of Stri Roga and Prasuti Tantra and Dean of the Faculty of Ayurveda at I.M.S., B.H.U., Varanasi. Dr. Tewari is recognized for her pioneering work in Ayurvedic ethics, notably in "Medical Ethics in Ayurveda," which comprehensively explores the moral and professional principles within the ancient Indian medical tradition. She also authored "Concepts of Health and Disease in Ayurveda," delving into the foundational understandings of well-being and pathology in Ayurveda.
