P.L. Gupta

Parmeshwari Lal Gupta (1914–2001) was a leading Indian numismatist who held curatorial positions at the Bharat Kala Bhavan and the Prince of Wales Museum, Bombay, and earned his doctorate from Banaras Hindu University. In The Imperial Guptas he devotes extensive attention to primary historical sources alongside an analysis of Gupta coinage, offering a foundational scholarly account of the dynasty's political history.
