Norman H. Zide

Norman Herbert Zide (1928–2023) was Professor Emeritus of Linguistics at the University of Chicago and a leading specialist in Munda and Austroasiatic languages. In Studies in the Munda Numerals, published by the Central Institute of Indian Languages, Mysore in 1978, he examined numeral systems across the Munda language family — a comparative analysis supported by a Ford Foundation grant to the Institute.
