Nitya Chaitanya Yati

Nitya Chaitanya Yati (1924–1999) was an Indian philosopher, psychologist, author, and poet, known for his commentaries on Advaita Vedanta and his literary criticisms. Born K. R. Jayachandra Panicker in Kerala, he was a disciple and successor to Nataraja Guru as the head of the Narayana Gurukula. His early life involved extensive travels across India as a mendicant, studying various spiritual traditions and meeting influential figures such as Mahatma Gandhi and Ramana Maharshi. Yati authored over 140 books in English and Malayalam, including My Inner Profile and Marxism and Humanist Nonarchy, and received the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Literary Criticism in 1977.
