Nepal Academy of Fine Arts

The Nepal Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), known in Nepali as नेपाल ललितकला प्रज्ञा–प्रतिष्ठान, is the principal umbrella organization for Nepali artists, researchers, and art critics, established in 2010. Located in Kathmandu, NAFA is a government-run institution dedicated to promoting and developing both traditional and contemporary Nepali art through exhibitions, workshops, research, and publications. Its departments span painting, sculpture, folk art, handicrafts, and architecture, aiming to connect local artists with global audiences. NAFA's publications include `A Concise Introduction to Nepali Modern Sculpture`, `रेखा चित्रमा नेपाली वास्तुकला सम्पदा- Nepal-The Gate of Heritage : Line Drawing Nepali Architectural Estates`, and `Nepali Abstract Paintings : A Development Analysis`, which document and analyze various facets of Nepali art.
