Neil Gaiman is an English writer whose work ranges across novels, short fiction, picture books, comic books, and screenplays. He is the first author to win both the Newbery Medal and the Carnegie Medal for the same book — The Graveyard Book — and his graphic novel series The Sandman was the first comic to receive the World Fantasy Award for Best Short Story. His other honours include five Hugo Awards, two Nebula Awards, and a Bram Stoker Award.
