Nalini Jameela and Reshma Bharadwaj

Nalini Jameela (born 1954, Thrissur) is a former sex worker, activist, and author who served as president and coordinator of the Kerala Sex Workers' Forum. Her autobiography Njan Laingikathozhilali sold more than 40,000 copies in Malayalam and was translated into multiple Indian and European languages. In Romantic Encounters of a Sex Worker, translated by Reshma Bharadwaj and published by Om Books International in 2018, she recounts memorable encounters from her years in the profession. She has also directed two documentaries.
