Nakulan, born T.K. Doraiswamy (1921–2007), was an Indian poet, novelist, professor of English, and translator who wrote in both Tamil and English, known for his experimental style and free verse. He served as a Professor of English at Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuram, for four decades. His significant contributions to Tamil literature include nine novels and five collections of poems. Nakulan is particularly recognized for introducing techniques like stream of consciousness into Tamil literature, with his novel நினைவுப் பாதை (Ninaivup Paatai: Novel) being considered a pioneering work in this regard.
