Nabanita Deshmukh

Nabanita Deshmukh is an Indian teacher, teacher educator, and a prolific writer of children's stories and poems, having penned over 800 stories for various children's magazines. She has authored numerous books, published by Children's Book Trust, Pratham Books, and TERI, and works extensively in education with schools and communities, particularly in northeastern India. Deshmukh's work often integrates environmental themes, aiming to connect children with nature and discuss issues such as climate change, as seen in books like "The Disappearing Beach" and "The Toothless Cobra." She also teaches geography at an alternate education school in Puducherry and trains teachers to incorporate storytelling into their lessons.
