Muhammad Husain Hykal

Muhammad Husain Haykal (1888–1956) was a leading Egyptian writer, journalist, and public figure. His 1933 biography of the Prophet Muhammad brought modern critical scholarship to bear on classical sirah and hadith literature, emphasizing the rationality of the Prophet's teaching.
