Monika Horstmann

Monika Horstmann is a professor emerita at Heidelberg University, Germany, specialising in the religious history and literature of northern India from the sixteenth century onward, with a particular focus on bhakti and Braj Bhasha texts. She edited Transforming Tradition: Cultural Essays in Honour of Mukund Lath, a 2013 volume published by Prakrit Bharati Academy marking the seventy-fifth birthday of the scholar, musician, and musicologist Mukund Lath.
