Mita Biswas

Mita Biswas examines the representation of Indian culture in English-language poetry in her critical study Representations of a Culture in Indian English Poetry, published by the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla. She has taught at Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla for three decades, has guided twenty-five doctoral theses, and has published more than thirty research articles in national and international journals. Her scholarly work spans poets from the early nineteenth century to contemporary Indian English verse.
