Minoru Hara

Minoru Hara was a Japanese Indologist, philologist, and professor emeritus at the University of Tokyo. He examines the concept of tapas as it appears in the Bhagavadgita, a subject continuous with his wider scholarship on Sanskrit religious and philosophical literature. The Government of India recognised his contributions with the Padma Bhushan in 2009.
