Mazhamangalam was a poet of sixteenth-century Kerala who composed the Bhasha Naishadha Champu in Malayalam — a champu work that blends prose and verse, adapting the Sanskrit Naishadha Charita (the story of King Nala) into the mixed Manipravala literary form.
